This is how the log cabin quilt block started, straight piecing and colors, dark on one side and light of other. Well…in my world these are light and dark colors. IF you are new to quilting log cabin is the best, straight piecing and very quick results. Doing a log cabin I like to just strips and just go, but all cutting is here for you. Cut 2 Blue – 1 ½” x 1 ½”
Cut 2 Green – 1 ½” x 1 ½”
Make the center 4-patch
Cut 1 Pink – 2 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the top
Cut 1 Pink- 3 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the right side
Cut 1 Blue – 3 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the bottom
Cut 1 Blue – 4 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the left side
Cut 1 Pink – 4 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the top
Cut 1 Pink – 5 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the right side
Cut 1 Blue – 5 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the bottom
Cut 1 Blue – 6 ½ “x 1 ½” Sew to the left side
Cut 1 Purple – 6 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the top
Cut 1 Pink – 7 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the right side
Cut 1 Blue – 7 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the bottom
Cut 1 Blue – 8 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the left side
Cut 1 Purple – 8½” x 1 ½” Sew to the top
Cut 1 Pink – 9½” x 1 ½” Sew to the right side
Cut 1 Blue – 9 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the bottom
Cut 1 Blue – 10 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the left side
