We have been working on a house rearrange and I found my Mom’s box of recipes at the bottom of a drawer. I love seeing her and my Grandmother’s handwriting.
Mom’s Orange Slush and it’s FANTASTIC ! I remember a HOT summer and my cousin Norma and I sitting on a beach with our kids running all around, playing in the water and the two of us having Slushes and a BALL with four little boys. Husband’s were cooking, and bring us drinks, it’s was one of my favorite times at my folk’s cabin.
This hot cheese dip is the one we all make, Mom would always say, “Just eat it, DON’T look at it, it tastes so much better than it looks !” We all would wait for her to say it every time.
This is my Grandma Glade’s recipe and that first ingredient is LARD ! ONE of the best cakes ever, with LARD. Grandma didn’t measure anything, it was a palm of LARD !
Have a fun super bowl
