Weekly Wednesday PHOTO

Using a digital camera is the best, I click away digital photo’s every place we go. This past week we were at the South Florida Museum.
I took a couple of pictures of the car thinking nothing about it. When I downloaded it.   Can you see me ? I did it in EVERY photo I took of this car???

Weekly Wednesday Photo

I have to say, “I love flowers” and daisies just seem to welcome everyone.  I have been working on a series that I think will become a note card collection. I’ve been working on using light in different ways.   I’ve named this set, Daisy Day.

Weekly Wednesday Photo a Quilt

I take a lot a quilt photo’s, the quilts I make all completed, one’s that are in the sewing process and even the idea sheets I draw. Lots of quilt photo’s. So, the other day, I decide to look at a quilt different. I know, not the normal idea you awake up too? But, I do ??  Seeing a quilt from a new angle.

Take Time Thursday

I picked up  grocery store flowers and just shot pictures, daisy photo’s, nothing better.   I have been reading, “Perfectly Yourself” by Matthew Kelly. He says, about the phrase, Practice makes perfect, “Practice makes progress.”  OK, mind blowing for me. Notebooks of ideas of quilts, watercolors, paintings to do and over thinking each idea and everything I do….Must be perfect, must to complete, must…must…be perfect.  No, I need to just be me. I think maybe with more knowledge of photography, I have set myself up. Today, I let my own process be, I can just some how see it.

Take Time Thursday – Photo’s by Beth Ann

I didn’t get out this week to shoot any new pictures….these are my attempt at a photo competition???? and I mean I TRY ! !  This first one I LOVE, but I placed it in the documentary category, and it’s not a documentary photo??? After 3 emails and 2 phone calls, I knew…..it was not going to get even looked at. My Fault…. I titled it “A bit of Her Life” maybe they knew it was my life?

I have been playing with black and white. I love adding a bit of color too. That’s why the top one was NOT a documentary photo, but creative??

Take Time Thursday – Past Week in Photo’s January 2018

Hope you all had a GREAT Holiday and like me TRYING to make life normal or something close.  2018 will bring me lots of new, as turning sixty, celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and doing a bit of traveling.  This photo is from our visit to the Dallas Arboretum it’s the time of the year when there is not much in bloom, but the color and shadows were wonderful.  We walked for hours and around every corner things seemed new and different. It’s the welcoming of 2018.

Take Time Thursday – Past Week in Photo’s

My Past Weeks Photo’s by Beth Ann. I have been wanting to do this for a bit and with things a bit calmer, I am going to try. What it really does is get me OUT and taking pictures.
We live in a fantasy area here in Sarasota, Florida, so many things to see and do. We always make it to the Ringling before most holiday’s. I call it a “vacation day”. I took 417 pictures on this day. I found I was a bit involved with the lighting??? I try very hard to just take pictures, not over think anything like portions of thirds, colors, just shoot what my eyes see at the time. photo by Beth Ann Strub

I have always loved old thing and this is one of my favorite houses to visit. I  hope that some day they will open it up to special tours and let me take my camera behind the red ropes….BUT until that time, I just keep taking pictures.
