Putting Your Quilt Together

Floating Squares Quilt Pattern, finished size is 34″ x 34″ making it the perfect size for a lap quilt or the perfect baby quilt !   If you missed Part ONE and Part TWO
We are now ready to put this quilt pattern together,
Lay the squares out, block one then block two

Play with them and when YOU like the placement…..
Cut 12 Burgundy – 2 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ 
Sew between the blocks
Press the burgundy to the center each time.

My Holiday Gift for you – Putting the Quilt Together

This is probably my favorite part of the quilting process. Putting it all together !  When I first took a quilting class, the teacher talked about the three steps of making a quilt, 1) the idea/purchase, 2)the making of the quilt, 3) finished, the quilting/binding.
I think of this often, as I really LOVE the idea/purchase part, but a stack of fabric or blocks can NOT be called a quilt.

SO….Let’s start to put the quilt together.
