Quilt Basket Beauty is a quilt that you make using 16 basket blocks, finished quilt is 24” x 24” if made an shown. I use mine on my dresser or the center of our dining room table. But, would also be a great baby quilt or lap quilt. As pictured, I machine pieced and hand quilted, Quilt Basket Beauty
I love quilt patterns, changing and rearranging the pieces into something new makes me happy. Sharing them is one of my favorites too. Today’s finished quilt block is eight inches by eight inches. Please don’t let the size overwhelm you, the quilt squares are cut one at a half and the triangles are two and a half, nothing hard to do.(cut 2 7/8″)
This is how the log cabin quilt block started, straight piecing and colors, dark on one side and light of other. Well…in my world these are light and dark colors. IF you are new to quilting log cabin is the best, straight piecing and very quick results. Doing a log cabin I like to just strips and just go, but all cutting is here for you. This quilt block is ten inches by ten inches, but if you want it larger just keep adding strips. Sign up for my newsletter below too ! See my quilt pattern shop
