I was looking for something in my quilt tubs and found this quilt. It’s a little red, log cabin quilt, the log cabin blocks are made using cut strips of one inch. Using a 5 inch package of charm fabrics. I used to do trunk shows and quilts like this were a part of that show, I have a lot of quilts.
I found what I needed, and the tub is all packed up again.

It was one of the hardest things to do a few years ago to change myself up and start doing…what I like, love and need to do. www.bethanndoing.com was born. I’m six years into photography and it’s opened my eyes up to see things a different way. I have taken classes, field trip, shot photos with others, but now it’s all about me ! Husband always says,”My life is a happy place.” I think that’s funny. Since all the learning I have been doing lately and figuring myself out, I do understand what he is saying.
You are the only one who can make you happy. Maybe at 60 years old, I finally figured out NO one and nothing but ME, can make me happy ! I’ve been trying very hard to live in my own doings, my own happiness and my own ideas. And My Happy Places HELP !
I love my bed, I have an over the top routine of what it has to be, how it is made, the sheets, pillows, I confess, I AM a bit Nuts over it, and I have given it YEARS of practice ! And, I’m not a prude about it either, I love to crawl in, eat lunch,have afternoon coffee, read a book, right in the middle of it. It’s all about being…..Happy ! Laugh out LOUD !
My office is a very happy place too, I use it daily and most days, I kind of escape into it. Awake early this is the place you will find me.
i know I have shown our Lanai a few times, but I love this spot, it’s hot here right now and I can only go out early morning. but I love this spot !
Find or make yourself a spot, a quilt on the chair, do something for yourself !
This is the FIRST quilt I made, and you know….NO ONE sleeps or touches it but me and IT’S just fine ! I don’t think anyone cares ! And….I makes my HAPPY !

I loved this book, it’s about friends, fun, love, France, food and a BOOKSHOP on Water, what is not to like??? This was one of my book club books and the discuss was about 70% liked and the others not so much.

I had an email and the question, “How can you do it all?” Easy, I LOVE IT all. Hours seem like minutes and days seem like hours, I have found my groove. I do work 3-4 hours a day at everything and I love it. I enjoy what I do and who I am. This has taken me the past year to figure out. I went to my core because of what I thought I knew was turned on it’s head. But, I did it and I am better today than yesterday.
