 Log Cabin Quilt Block Pattern is a classic quilt block that all quilters love and use all the time. This log cabin has a finished size of ten inches by ten inches. This quilt block as pictures used blues on one side and loud pink flowers on the other.

Cut 1 Yellow – 2 ½” x 2 ½”
Cut 2 Blue – 2 ½” x 1 ½”
Sew to make center
 
Cut 2 Gray – 4 ½” x 1 ½”
Sew on the right and left side
 
Cut 1 Green – 4 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the top
Cut 1 Blue – 4 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the bottom
 
Cut 1 Pink– 6 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to right side
Cut 1 Red – 6 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to left side
 
Cut 1 Blue– 6 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the top
Cut 1 Red – 6 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to bottom
 
Cut 1 Gray – 8 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the right side

Cut 2 Pink – 2 ½” x 2 ½”

Cut 2 White – 2 ½” x 2 ½”

Make center 4 -patch

Cut 2 Blue – 4 ½” x 1 ½”

Sew to the top and bottom

Cut 2 Yellow – 6 ½” x 1 ½”

Sew to the sides

 

 Cut 7 Pink – 2 ½” x 1 ½”

Cut 7 Gray – 2 ½” x 1 ½”

Sew as shown, top and bottom

Add sides

Cut 2 Blue – 8 ½” x 1 ½”

Sew to the top and bottom

This is a fun Log Cabin Quilt Pattern Block and it’s one to use up any scraps you have around.  The pieces are straight lined pieced and has a finished size of ten inches by ten inches.

Sew to the top and bottom

Found it and it’s back in the Tub

I was looking for something in my quilt tubs and found this quilt.   It’s a little red, log cabin quilt, the log cabin blocks are made using cut strips of one inch. Using a 5 inch package of charm fabrics.   I used to do trunk shows and quilts like this were a part of that show, I have a lot of quilts.

I pulled out binding for quilts the other day and of course found quilts awaiting….

This is a baby quilt I made just to use up fun scraps, probably was to be a post here or ebook???? Have NO Clue !
 Where do you keep your what need finished quilts? I have tubs I am NOT ready to share how many tubs….but I will share….I have drawers full too ! 
Strips are cut 1 1/2″ and I did the piecing on a sewing machine.

Changing it up a bit, by using cut strips of 2 1/2″ inches. This log cabin quilt block go’s together very quick and it’s a great way to use up all the strips you have around.
