This is one of the quilt pattern blocks from my Quilt Ladies, it’s a great quilt block of using up scraps, but if you plan colors out, it’s wonderful too. This is from my book “53 Quilt Pattern Blocks”
Here is My little table topper quilt pattern for you. No calories, no watering and you can use up a few fabric scraps. If you are not into red right now, change it up and make yours any colors you like. Happy Valentine’s Day
Finished quilt is twenty inches by twenty-two inches
Here is a Complete quilt pattern for you. I think it’s a fun quilt because of the colors and the black making it pop. Over the next few days you will be able to make the quilt as shown below. This quilt LOOKS hard BUT it’s just triangles.
I cut 3 7/8″ blocks to make my triangles, you can cut any size you would like. I made and quilted this quilt YEARS ago and I have used it as a table topper, a front door quilt and as a lay over the back of the couch quilt for color. My quilt has a finished size of 30 inches by 30 inches.
This is probably my favorite part of the quilting process. Putting it all together ! When I first took a quilting class, the teacher talked about the three steps of making a quilt, 1) the idea/purchase, 2)the making of the quilt, 3) finished, the quilting/binding.
I think of this often, as I really LOVE the idea/purchase part, but a stack of fabric or blocks can NOT be called a quilt.
SO….Let’s start to put the quilt together.
Cut 6 Background – 2 1/2″ x 14 1/2″ sew as shown above
Cut 6 Background – 2 1/2″ x 14 1/2″ Cut 9 Red – 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2 as shown above
