Doing large projects to small ones, they come together with baskets of fabric, ideas and laughter.“The Ladies” They talked time to time about doing a quilt pattern book and finally it was time to draw out their favorite quilt blocks and share them with all of you.
All the quilt blocks stitched together, a quilt design (finished quilt measures 76″ x 84″ ) and that’s what became “The Ladies” Quilt Pattern Book.

Time to Plan your Summer Quilt Making

Summer Quilt Planning starts with a NEW Quilt Pattern. After you have the quilt pattern it’s all about the fabric. I always say, purchase ONLY what you LIKE, what you can afford and ALWAYS 100% cotton. “I” and I repeat, “I” like to wash, dry and iron my fabrics, BEFORE I start cutting them. This is MY Quilt, “PUT on Some RED Lipstick and Let’s Quilt”

When I purchase fabric and have NO idea what I will be making with it, I always purchase 2 to 3 yards. These red and white’s are all from my fabric closet and some are getting old, as long as the cotton is still tight, it’s just fine to work with.

Put on Some Red Lipstick and Let’s Quilt, is an all straight piecing quilt pattern, with all cutting and piecing instructions, this quilt measures 54” x 74”

Whenever possible I like to chain piece and this is the start of my piecing of squares.
