It’s a tradition as a Quilter you are going to HAVE to make a Log Cabin quilt block sometime. Mainly, it’s one of the best way to use up strips and scraps from your other projects.  So here’s one of mine.

Finished Log Cabin Quilt block is ten inches by ten inches

Cut 1 Yellow – 2 ½” x 2 ½”

Cut 2 Blue – 2 ½” x 1 ½”

Sew to make center

Cut 2 Gray – 4 ½” x 1 ½”

Sew on the right and left side

Cut 1 Green – 4 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the top

Cut 1 Blue – 4 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the bottom

Cut 1 Pink– 6 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to right side

Cut 1 Red – 6 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to left side

Cut 1 Blue– 6 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the top

Cut 1 Red – 6 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to bottom

Cut 1 Gray – 8 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the right side

Cut 1 Pink – 8½” x 1 ½” Sew to the left side

Cut 1 Red – 8 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the top

Cut 1 Blue – 8½” x 1 ½” Sew to the bottom

Cut 1 Red – 10 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the right side

Cut 1 Gray – 10 ½” x 1 ½” Sew to the left side
