This is how I use it on my dresser. It makes me happy to see it.
Make 16 basket blocks, finished quilt is 24” x 24” if made an shown. I use mine on my dresser or the center of our dining room table. But, would also be a great baby quilt or lap quilt.

Our 2nd Grand is Crazy Man and this is the quilt I made for him.
“Crazy Man” Quilt Block Patterns – Finishes quilt block is eight inches by eight inches. The “Crazy” part of this quilt is the background fabric, it’s bold, it’s yellow and it’s what makes the blocks a “Crazy Man” quilt.

Today, I’m share a traditional basket quilt block, it’s easy to piece and just wait to see what can be done with it over the next few days. The quilt block has a finished size of eight inches by eight inches.
Cut 1 Color 6 7/8” x 6 7/8” square cut corner to corner
Cut 1 White 6 7/8” x 6 7/8” square cut corner to corner
Reserve extra triangle of another block
Cut 1 White 2 7/8” x 2 7/8” make triangles
Cut 1 Color 2 7/8” x 2 7/8” make triangles
Cut 1 White 2 1/2” x 2 1/2”
Cut 2 White 4 1/2 x 2 1/2”
Sew as Shown

Last week I shared a Traditional Star quilt block – Here if you missed. Now it’s my time to have fun with that basic pattern. Eight inches by eight inches finished size of the quilt block.
Cut 6 Lt. Blue 1 1/2” x 1 1/2”
Cut 4 White 1 1/2” x 1 1/2”
Cut 10 White 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Cut these in half to make triangles
Cut 4 Red 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”
Cut these in half to make triangles
Cut 2 White 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”
Cut these in half to make triangles
Cut 1 Lt. Blue 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”
Cut in half to make triangles
Cut 8 Gray 1 1/2” x 1 1/2”
Cut 2 Green 1 1/2” x 1 1/2”
Cut 6 Yellow 1 1/2” x 1 1/2”
Cut 4 Yellow 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Cut these in half to make triangles
Piece together as shown

I love playing with quilt patterns and this quilt block is a tradition quilt star block. It’s one of the first quilt blocks everyone learns to make.
