I started Slow and Self-Care early in 2018, (if ONLY it was before) it’s been an on-going project. I’ve fallen short a few times, but always gathered myself up and started again. The Anxiety of Anxiety
NO one will be free of stress, but you must learn to live and go about life with it. You need to make yourself first, this is terribly hard and still today, I quite myself, listen to myself and do what is need for me. Learn my tricks, my silent word prayer, mine is HAPPY ! over and over, hundreds of times in my mind.
Slowing Down has been VERY rewarding. Look around see what is around you, and SLOW is 30 seconds, not minutes slow, when you slow down YOU become first in your own world.

This weeks quilt block is a bit like last weeks, but I have added more scrap fabric pieces. Break the quilt pattern down as shown and you will have no problem sewing it together.
Finished quilt block is twelve inches by twelve inches.
Center Block
Cut 18 Assorted Colors – 1 ½ x 2 ½”
Piece as shown for the center
Cut 14 Tan – 1 ½” x 2 ½”
Sew as shown
3 to left and right
4 to top and bottom
Cut 20 Assorted Colors 1 ½” x 2 ½”
Cut 10 White – 2 ½” x 2 ½”
Sew on top and bottom
Sew into rows and shown.

Free Twelve by Twelve Quilt Block
This quilt block is a bit log cabin and a scrap design, one of my original design too. Go slow with your sewing, this quilt block is NOT hard, lay your pieces out and sew as shown.
It is composed of various fabric pieces arranged in a geometric pattern. This week’s quilt block pattern is about moving the outside quilt blocks around the center. Color placement is fun and don’t over think it, have fun with it. Finished quilt block is 12″ x 12″
Center Block
Cut 18 Assorted Colors – 1 ½ x 2 ½”
Piece as shown for the center
Cut 2 Blue – 1 ½” x 8 ½”
Sew to the left and right side
Cut 2 Blue – 1 ½” x 6 ½”
Sew to the top and bottom
Sew as shown
Cut 32 Assorted Colors – 1 ½” x 2 ½”
Sew 2 together long side, to form 16 blocks,
Cut 4 White – 2 ½” x 2 ½”

This is one of my quilt block patterns and I named it,
Pin Wheel Around.
I took 2- five inch Charm packs and made all the blocks I am sharing. I don’t over think quilt fabric colors much…a light, a dark color.
I like the idea of cut, grab, sew! Just the way I’ve been lately. the gray and orange.
