About ME ! My name is Beth Ann, I am sixty- one years young and living in central Florida, about 20 minutes for the white sandy beaches we all love and right on a golf course, that I have never played on, but it’s pretty. I was born and raised in Iowa and have lived in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and now in Florida, which I still can’t believe.
I have Husband, two boys, two daughter-n-laws and four Grands, whom all live an airplane ride away. We travel to them, a couple of times a year and I’ve made myself learn and USE text. I was home with the boys for years, working part-time at a library, the home office of a jewelry chain and then at banks, Husband’s career took up to 10 different retail stores and there was always a bank.
We live in a condo with all the things you think you will have when you move to Florida. I always explain to people moving to Florida is like going to college, no one is from here, and everyone has a story and just because people are retired doesn’t change their personalities to the good or bad. Over twenty years ago, I self-published by books, The Quilt Ladies Collection, each book on its own and sold at quilt shows. I added titles and quilts as I went. From all printed at home, to getting them printed in color by a printer to now all twelve titles available on Kindle and Nook, in one book. What a circle of events and how technology has changed everything. My printers cost 2007 was 5.95 for one book, sold for 8.95 and I now I sell all twelve for 9.99. It’s so crazy now it’s all changed. So, here I am, living in Florida, (I say again!) which I still can’t believe. Taking care of my Mom, Husband’s parents are here too and doing what I like and need to do daily. As a Quilter, nothing makes me happier than a well made bed. From the mattress, sheets, pillows and then the quilt ! ! OH my, it just all makes me happy.
So, the Festival of Sleep is all about the bed for me. I’m one who can shower, make my dinner, eat it in bed, read a book, work on my lap top, have television on and complain after hours that I have to get up and clean out ! To go to bed ! I love a good bed !

I’m making 202o my year of HAPPINESS. It’s taken me years to get to this point. I’m going to try new things here on my site too and if it works it works, if not so be it. No worries. I have been taking care of others for WAY too long and I’m done living their lives and missing my own. Our travel this past year proved that (to me), all was fine without me. I have figured out being involved, but not being involved (that’s for another day), laughter is key and with that a better heart. My daily holiday list have become a go to for me. It makes me stop and celebrate every day, l like the fun ideas of happiness. Most day’s it’s an afternoon coffee with Husband on our Lanai, a moment to stop, breathe, center myself and be happy. SO, Here I go into 2020

Reflections as time passes is my way of remembering. The travel, the laughter and the moments of moving forward. Husband and I have faced everything head on and together. Laughter has been our life line. Our kids and grands are all health and have so much love to share with us. Husband has taken on projects around our home. He takes my drawing and ideas and runs with them.
Care giving has taken on a new form and the education of that has been a mile stone for me and learning to say “No”or “Stop” has fed my strength and understanding to take care of myself first. Silence is my home and answering with that has given me my own power to let things and other’s be or go. Drama is not a word or a way I do anything any more.
We had the privilege to go on a Viking River Cruise, it was unbelievable and all I can really say is, “Get outside of your own world and see everything, it’s all wonderful ! “ My first time overseas and I’m sure that I was in Passau, Germany before…. magic or my first life?? I carry my camera always and here are just a few of 2019. I totaled the photo’s for 2019, 11,248, what a year ! !
This photo below is as we pulled out of Budapest, Hungry into the Danube River, and it really looked like that. The Church photo is from St. Stephen’s Church in Vienna, the only photoshop done on it was the guy in the bright green stripped shirt, he just wouldn’t move ! He has been deleted !
When you return home and glow in what you have, peace, happiness and our own wonderful.

I have taken a Bear Paw quilt pattern and redesigned it into Sixteen different quilt blocks, each with a finished size of Fourteen by fourteen inches. The quilt will be 88” x 84” finished size. Pattern can be used as shown or put together in many different combinations. Complete quilt pattern blocks, all cutting and piecing instructions and how to put the quilt together section.
