Make a Quilt Block – Complete Quilt Pattern

Today is my birthday, 64 and with Husband doing rehab our getting away to the beach is on hold and that’s ok, SO I am spending the day here in my sewing room. This is ONE of my favorite quilt block patterns. This quilt block has a finished size of 16″ x 16″, it uses triangles and squares, put together in units as you sew.  Here  also  is  how  I make  Triangles

Quilter Tip:
As you lay out quilt blocks, take a digital photo and see what it will look like before sewing the blocks together. The picture takes you away from the quilt and you see prospective in your quilt block.

It’s Day Six and this is a fun Star quilt block of make. All of this set of quilt stars have a finished size of eight inches by eight inches. All other sets that have been shared are HERE for you too! 

Pressing and ironing 100% cotton fabric for quilting is a bit different. ONLY use a hot iron, with NO water. Steam will stretch the fabric. Pressing is an UP and DOWN motion. Ironing is side to side. Use Pressing for your quilt blocks, UP and DOWN motion.  How to make triangles

Walking in a World of Quilt Blocks

Star quilts are a great way to step up your quilting. Always start your quilting journey doing squares. Next learn to do triangles.
How I do my triangles is here for you. 
Always when quilting use a 1/4″ seam allowance. I use a soft gray thread in my sewing machine,(top and bobbin) it seems to work the best and only change when using black fabric, black thread.
