This is one of my quilt block patterns and I named it,
Pin Wheel Around. 

I took 2- five inch Charm packs and made all the blocks I am sharing. I don’t over think quit fabric colors much…a light, a dark color. I like the idea of the sewing recently, cut, grab, sew! Just the way I’ve been lately. the gray and orange.

New to quilting, move down a bit in the post and walk through the quilt block in steps.

Draw line on back corner to corner

Making a Quilt Block

When you take down time doing  what is special to you, you figure out pretty quick just how wonderful life is. The craziness of life can become too much sometimes, but my moments in my little sewing room….PERFECT.
So, my perfect today is an eight by eight inch quilt block, all patterns of blue and white fabrics. I cut little 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ squares and played with their placement, have fun moving color around.  Finished quilt block is eight inches by eight inches. See my Books in Print

Wednesday has become my sewing-office day. It’s a bit of a game changer for me and I love my day sewing. Here is a blue and white quilt block for you to make, it’s eight inches by eight inches when finished.
The quilt block made IS the block shown, changing the one corner block to white change the entire look of the quilt block.
