Stitched into The Story Quilt Block Patterns

Just For You

Stitched into the Story, Book of Luke and 25 quilt block patterns to make, all sizes, ready for you.Making dreams into reality… one quilt block and reading at a time!  I used this book ever month and it’s my daily reading now.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that I write in almost every book I own. I underline passages, jot down thoughts in the margins, and ask myself questions.

When I opened Stitched Into the Story again this year, I realized I wanted more room to do exactly that. I wanted space to write, reflect, pray, and record what God was teaching me.

So… I revised my book!

I’m so excited to share the updated Scripture Reflection Daily Reading: Stitched Into the Story with Quilt Blocks.

This book has been a true labor of love, combining 25 daily Scripture readings from the Gospel of Luke, thoughtful journal space for your own reflections, and 25 quilt block patterns that bring the Christmas story to life in a creative and meaningful way.

Whether you’re an experienced quilter or simply someone who enjoys slowing down with God’s Word, I hope this book becomes part of your Christmas tradition. Read a little each day, write what God places on your heart, and stitch together beautiful quilt blocks that will remind you of the journey. And yes… there’s a special Christmas quilt block to complete all 25 patterns!

Available exclusively in print, because sometimes the most meaningful notes are the ones written by hand.

Thank you for cheering me on, purchasing and filling my
life with Kindness and Joy, Beth Ann

It’s Early…But Time for a Holiday Quilt

Holiday Quilt, Start NOW !

There’s something a little funny about starting a holiday quilt when the weather doesn’t match the season at all, but that’s exactly why we do it.

Holiday Quilt Pattern in traditional red and green fabric, a truely holiday gift to yourself.Quilting isn’t just about the finished piece; it’s about giving yourself time. When you start now, you’re not rushing in November, not scrambling in December, you’re enjoying the process one block at a time. A holiday quilt made slowly holds more than fabric… it holds the quiet moments, the steady stitching, and the peace of not being in a hurry.

And truthfully, this quilt over the back of my couch this past December and it greeted me every time I walked in the living room…priceless. Not to discount the mug of hot chocolate, a book to read, a moment of family curled up to enjoy the holiday, under YOUR Holiday Quilt
That’s what you will give yourself and family in this HOLIDAY quilt. a holiday quilt pattern book from the quilt ladies You will become the maker of an all-time favorite at your house.   Perfect for a holiday snuggle on the couch or made in any colors for day to day cuddles.  Holiday Quilt Pattern features TWELVE – Twelve by Twelve Inches quilt pattern blocks and they are made into a 62″ x 78″ quilt.

Quilt shown in traditional red and green, but this quilt would be wonderful with a dark blue background, white and yellow blocks, let yourself have fun.

Cold Weather, Crazy Days, and Getting Everything Done

Art, Laundry, Free Quilt Block

The Quilt Ladies weekly news

It’s February, and it’s cold. Yes, even here in Florida. Opened tubs that were moved over ten years ago, and the jeans fit ! !
This is the the kind of cold that makes piling on quilts a necessary, you know when you get in and you can’t roll over ! ! I love that feeling!

I finished up my Laundry Hall Originals, 16″ x 20 and they are something I have wanted to do for a bit.

My FINISHED Laundry Hall !

And this picture is just something I have wanted to do. Yes, 2026 is kind of all about me. I have to start feeling better.

I had thought it would be on the back wall of the laundry, but…I have a very hard time reaching the cabinets so I added a shelf…I added the vases to the dining room. Where there is a wall, there is art !

Beth Ann's row of vasesWith all the noise in the world, my anxiety and me, have had a few moments. I turned to finished up this quilt, added borders and now ready for long arm quilting.

Starting Small Still Counts with Just About Everything

From Quilts to Exercise…

weekly quilt ladies news

I am writing with a very heavy heart.
I am going a head with what I had planned, BUT…

Well…I tried, but goals change…sometimes really fast.  I had good intentions about going back to the gym this year. Really solid plans of course a new outfit, new shoes, half the reason to go !Free Quilt Pattern

But here’s the thing… (having a thing is like, I got a guy for that project) I’m back to swimming every day instead. Turns out after 2 weeks and 5 visits my knees, my schedule, and my general attitude all voted for I am staying with the pool. No loud music, no mirrors, no pretending I enjoy machines. My steady pace, quiet water, and a reminder that moving your body doesn’t have to make me feel “Am I doing it right?”

So, my only buy a month plan was good, my start small plan as good and the weather changed from the 50’s to the 70’s, have invited me back into the pool of possibilities of feeling better.

Quilt Tip of the Week – NEW Rule

Quilting counts as exercise.
If your smartwatch disagrees, throw it in the bobbin drawer.

And it truely is, Beth Ann

the Quilt Ladies Weekly News

January has a different kind of rhythm this year. And I am trying so hard not to rush myself. “You don’t have to do everything today.” And honestly that is the way I like my life.

Living slow doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means doing one good thing at a time. Make the coffee. Sit down. Pull out a project that isn’t urgent or impressive or Instagram-worthy. Just something that feels nice in your hands. Quilting has a way of turning an ordinary day into a good one for me. Please click the links and see all I do.

My laundry closet took over a week, paint for an hour…let it dry…paint again if it needed before bed and then again in the morning . Kind of like me folding a quilt, unfolding it just to make sure, I love it as much as the first time folded…5 minutes before…

Here is my 2017 before of our laundry
Reason for the re-do…New Washer and Dryer and the doors CANNOT go back on…

before and after of laundry room hallway

It’s a bit of a 70’s thing and I as usual it’s all about me, it’s now a laundry hall and it’s open to see and pretty.

before and after of laundry room hallway

In the before, I painted everything before hung, this time, removed doors and painted cabinets on the wall…a my project.

before and after of laundry room hallway

Doors all painted, out and inside.

Measuring and cutting paper.

Thank goodness only 4 doors. What a project wallpaper is?!?!?

Yes, I’m the only one to see side and they needed pretty too !

before and after of laundry room hallway

This hall turned out with the same satisfacton as  pulling out a quilt and dressing up my bed with a new/old quilt to sleep under.

Press, don’t iron. Why this matters
(and us old quilters will repeat it forever):
Lift your iron and press straight down.

Don’t slide it back and forth like you’re ironing dress shirts.

Think of it this way:
Ironing = smoothing wrinkles.
Pressing = training fabric to cooperate.

Your quilt doesn’t need to be flattened into submission. It just needs a little firm guidance.

BEFORE the emails start: pressing seams open is a thing now?!?!
Pressing seams open can be useful, but it’s not always your best friend.
Reasons to be cautious:
The seam is weaker (there’s no fabric overlap for strength)
Quilting stitches fall directly on the seam line, increasing the chance of popped stitches
Seams don’t “lock” together when piecing, which can affect alignment

NOW I have added this quilt block pattern as a PDF for you just Click on it and it’s yours: NO SIGN up nothing, it’s YOURS

I type it once. You get a pretty printable, print, save, share and alway let them know it’s from ME ! Here it is for YOU

So, my day or my week is going to be slow. Quilt a little. Rest a little. Let the world spin without your supervision. The laundry will wait. January understands. And So Does Husband.

I write about Living Slow, that being said, I have started 2026 not planned, not organized, (four projects going right now) you’re supposed to start the year on the right foot. Right Foot, Organized. Focused. Perfectly planned.

But let’s be honest…I planned to have this out in the AM. and I am now going for PM…some time? I am thinking that my left foot maybe better?!?

So, let’s all Laugh! Start small or big, but start. Right foot? Left foot? Start!
I have learned that’s when the good stuff happens.  I truly think it’s all about showing up, and doing it!
AND I NEVER add any pressure to myself…ANY more !
