This quilt all started with me
having one of those days.
I wasn’t feeling quite right. I had somewhere to go and something to do that I really didn’t want to do, and the clock certainly wasn’t going to stand still and wait for me.
Dress on. Hair done. Makeup…?!?! And then I saw it. That ONE lipstick that always seems to make me feel a little better.
My classic red lip! I put it on, looked in the mirror and thought, Okay, I can do this. And you know what? It seems to work…most of the time.
Somewhere in all of that came the idea for this quilt and its name:
Put on Some Red Lipstick and Let’s Quilt!
Because sometimes we just need that one little thing that changes our mood. Maybe it’s red lipstick. Maybe it’s a cup of coffee. And maybe it’s walking into the sewing room, pulling out some fabric and forgetting about everything else for a little while. For me, on that particular day, it was red lipstick. And that feeling turned into a quilt.
