This quilt block is a pinwheel in a star. Here is how I make my triangles, there are many ways, do what you like.   All 68 quilt pattern blocks are found in my book, “The Ladies”

Cut 4 White – 3 7/8” x 3 7/8”
Make Triangles
Cut 4 Bright Red – 3 7/8” x 3 7/8”
Cut 4 White – 3 7/8” x 3 7/8”
Make Triangles
Cut 4 White – 3 ½” x 3 ½”
Sew as shown

Change a Classis Quilt Block

Basic quilt star with accents of strips and triangle corners. The finished quilt block is 12″ x 12″ Here is my post on how “I” piece triangles.

Cut 2 Green–

Cut 2 Lt. Blue – 6 ½” x 2”
Cut 1 Green – 6 ½” x 2”
Cut 1 Blue – 6 ½” x 2”

Basic Star Quilt Block with a bit of Flare !

Add a Four-Patch !

You can change the look of your basic quilt star by adding a four-patch center.  The finished quilt block is twelve inches by twelve inches. I Love the Pink !
