It’s Been a Bit ! !

Traveling Overseas

We have been off on an adventure, with a trip overseas and with months of planning… I  learned to wait…and wait.
Time to Wait

And to NEVER  plan these trips 18 months before you leave…it’s a bit cruel to do to yourself. GO! !

But, finally on July 14th we were on our way to a River Cruise. From Budapest to Amsterdam and every place in between. I tried to stay in EVERY moment and not behind my camera too much. That being said…I took 2957 photo’s.  I will only be sharing a few pictures, but I just have to share a bit.

This photo was one of our first evenings in Buda, we took a wrong turn walking home…it was miles out of our way, but Husband and I had a ball. Light at the start of the adventure.

And, then the Church’s… They have done them right.

Home and Not Starting too Quick

Star Quilt Patterns for YOU !

We took a fantastic vacation, returned home, laundry, sleep and re-entry to the real world.
I had visions of posts and ideas…..BUT mother nature had another thought ! Our condo building was hit by lighting, after we returned (Florida’s the lighting capital) it hit our cable, internet lines and blow my PC Computer, printer and TV  cable boxes.
Off to the repair guy…. not repairable, off to get my laptop and thank goodness all was able to be moved to it…. I had a lot backed up on USB, but of course not everything…. I hope to get back into a schedule here again, the hard part is finding everything…But, that will come too ???? in the mean time !

Here is a page for a few of my Star Quilt Patterns

Everyone Needs a Place to Be

My Little Corner

We live in a little two-bedroom condo and I had to figure out my space. And this is it. I’m lucky to have a corner in our master bedroom that I call mine. Yes, I heard it too, Husband just said, “The whole house is hers!”  It’s my go to, need to be, let me alone, read and watch a Hallmark movie place.

Of course, quilts are every place, I always seem to need one?? My thing. This is not a big space, a love seat, a table, and a lamp.

Please, try to get yourself a spot, a corner, a chair, some place to just be and take a breath. master bedroom corner space

Friendship Star Couch Pillows

Hand Quilted Pillow Top

I shared this quilt block on facebook about a month ago, I finished hand quilting two Friendship Star’s and turned them into new couch pillows. See The Quilt Ladies Quilt Pattern Shop

Friendship Star Couch Pillows

I have had this fabric piece for a bit and I never quite knew how to use it. It’s very heavy cotton and a bit stiff.  Pillow backing perfect.

fabric background

Did nothing fancy at all on the backing, used a 5/8′ seam and sewing around the outside edge leaving 5-6 inches open for filling.

Friendship Star Couch Pillows

I used the pillows which came with the couch as the stuffing, recycle, reused!

Take a Moment with One Flower

Challenging Myself

Taking so many photo’s, I wanted to challenge myself with one flower and just started taking photos. In total, I took 35 photos.  This is an early bloom from our April..  I use a point and shot camera now, have the other kind but…..  My “Center Pink” Photos.

Center Pink Flower by Beth Ann Strub

Not a lot of computer work was done on each photo. I’m not a huge fan of spending time with photoshop !   My dream is to have someone sitting next to me and just telling them what I want….someday??

Center Pink Flower 2 by Beth Ann Strub

The biggest part of going over these photos was the cleaning off of all the pollen. Center Pink in Black and White too !
