One Way a Quilt Block Pattern

Three Inch Quilt Block to Make

A classic triangle quilt block, all triangles and all colors. When doing triangles I use this method and piecing this quilt block was about light and dark fabric.

One Way – – 3 inch by 3 inch finished quilt block

Cut 5 Colors – 1 7/8”’ x 1 7/8”
Cut 5 White – 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”
Make Triangles – 1 triangle left over

Sew as shown

I had fun with color on my block, but looking now, I would have made the corner green darker, but hindsight…

Log Cabin Quilt Pattern Fun Today

This is a fun Log Cabin Quilt Pattern Block and it’s one to use up any scraps you have around. The pieces are straight lined pieced and has a finished size of ten inches by ten inches.

COLOR cutting is from the photo on the left side.

Cut 1 Dk. Gray 2 ½” x 2 ½”

Cut 2 Lt. Gray 2 ½” x 2 ½”

Make Center

Cut 2 Blue – 1 ½” x 6 ½”

Sew to the top and bottom

Cut 2 Lt Blue – 1 ½” x 6 ½”

Sew to the top and bottom

Cut 2 Purple – 2 ½” X 6 ½”

Sew to the sides

Cut 2 Lt. Gray – 2 ½” x 10 ½”
