Cut 1 White – 1 ½” x 4 ½” sew to the top
Cut 2 White – 1 ½” x 5 ½” sew to the right side and bottom
Cut 1 White – 1 ½” x 6 ½” sew to the left side

Cut 2 Orange – 3 7/8” x 3 7/8”
Cut 2 White – 3 7/8” X 3 7/8”

There are many ways to make quilt block triangles, here is how I do them.
How I do squares for my quilt blocks.

Finished Quilt Block Size 6″ x 6″

Cut 2 Gray – 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”

Cut 2 Dark .Gray – 2 7/8”x 2 7/8”

Make Triangles –corners

Cut 2 Yellow – 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”

Cut 2 Gray – 1 7/8” x 1 7/8”

Make Triangles -center

Cut 4 Yellow – 1 ½” x 2 ½”

Cut 4 Lt. Gray – 1 ½” x 2 ½”

Sew yellow to lt. gray

Sew as shown

Sew Rows together and rows into block

So, I am walking away for a bit from THAT machine…but I have hundreds of quilt blocks drawn up and for the next few, I will be building from a simple quilt block pattern, and with changing placement and color, see how that simple quilt block is transformed. Cutting for ONE entire Quilt Block
YOU will need only 20 squares
Cut 20 Assorted Colors – 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
OR as shown here
Cut 5 – Blue – 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Cut 5 – Red – 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Cut 5 – Gray – 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Cut 5 – Lt. Gray – 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″

Cut 12 Purple – 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″
Cut 12 White – 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″
Make Triangles – How I make Triangles

Cut 4 White – 2 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
Cut 8 White 2 1/2″ x 6 1/2″
Cut 4 White – 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″

Sew 4 squares to make 4-Patch – How I do Squares
