Fall is here, ever in Florida. I do kind of miss all the sweaters and getting out my cute boots, but this year let’s do the season with one of my quilt block patterns, Autumn Nights – Finished quilt block size is twelve inches by twelve inches, yes it has a lot of pieces, but it’s not hard to piece. Lay out your colors, if you like, or do it all scrappy. I have used fall colors to make this quilt block pattern, use what you have or like.

Make Triangles How to
“Life was just too hard to deal with and even harder at two in the morning. All I had were my own thoughts. A needle and thread made things just a little better.”
The Story continues:
Mary Alice returned with the coffee and found that
Helen had finished a total of three two patches. “Hope you don’t mind, but
these cookies looked good. Great for coffee dunking.”
Helen’s mind was working. Now her body needed a little help, too. As Helen had her coffee and three cookies, they talked. Mary Alice showed her how to unfold the sewn square and draw another ¼ inch line from the top on the wrong side of the fabric. (How to quilt)
“Take this piece and add to the back of it another one just like it, good fabric to good fabric. Place it seam to seam and stitch them together.” Mary Alice did one as Helen ate.
They talked and sewed all afternoon. Helen did not need to put the line on the fabric any more, and a rhythm had started with her stitches.
“There is no wrong way or right way of quilting, just your way.”
When they spread out their work, they had finished ten, four patch squares. Mary Alice showed Helen how she could put them together, one after another, or place a solid fabric in between. Helen’s eyes were dancing as she looked at her work. She had finished a row, putting one after another.
“I like to sit by a window with the sun light or a lamp, put my feet up and get comfortable for some serious sewing.”
Two quilts are featured in Book Two, RoadWay 94” x
110” is a quilt that Teresa made for her boys as a road to drive cars and

B. Annie Quilt Pattern is all about ME! I don’t say that a lot. B. Annie at the Etsy Shop B. Annie in Print and eBookThis Quilt started with a simple Bear Paw quilt block and then drawing and drawing sixteen quilt blocks that took that simple block and made all sixteen mine. The quilt as always going to have white background, I love quilt lines on white fabric, pink of course that’s me, adding color with greens, red, in both solids and prints. The outside border is pieced with green square and triangle leaves.
Have you ever made a quilt and as each quilt block is finished you giggle at what you just did? This is how I felt as this quilt was going together, into a finished eighty-eight by eighty-four-inch quilt. Kind of Perfect.
That’s my B. Annie quilt all about ME! Should say that more, one of my faults? Maybe it’s just taking care of so many.
One of the fun things about making quilt blocks is to challenge yourself to something new. Todays quilt block has a finished size of three inches by three inches. I piece any size quilt block the same and here is how I do triangles, not matter what size cut, I do the best piecing with this method.
