Little Churn Dash Quilt Pattern Block. I love little quilt blocks and I piece my little one’s the same way a do a large quilt block. I use a 1/4″ seam allowance and trim it to 1/16″ after each seam is sewn.
This Churn Dash Block has a finished size of 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″. My quilt block is machine pieced and hand quilted.
Want to make me HAPPY ! Pull out a quilt I made in front of me! Nothing make’s me HAPPIER ! This is the seating at Grand #3’s soccer game from the fall. It’s his Daddy’s VERY old quilt. I think it is about 18-20 years old… I machine pieced and had it long arm quilted. The pattern is drafted for you here too ! !

Cut 4 Pink – 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ Cut 2 Purple – 6 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ Cut 1 Purple – 14 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ Cut 4 Gray – 4 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ Cut 4 Gray – 6 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
I did 5 blocks across and 6 blocks down, 30 total blocks.
Simple 2 inch border, quilt and binding.

Today, I’m share a traditional basket quilt block, it’s easy to piece and just wait to see what can be done with it over the next few days. The quilt block has a finished size of eight inches by eight inches.
Cut 1 Color 6 7/8” x 6 7/8” square cut corner to corner
Cut 1 White 6 7/8” x 6 7/8” square cut corner to corner
Reserve extra triangle of another block
Cut 1 White 2 7/8” x 2 7/8” make triangles
Cut 1 Color 2 7/8” x 2 7/8” make triangles
Cut 1 White 2 1/2” x 2 1/2”
Cut 2 White 4 1/2 x 2 1/2”
Sew as Shown

Cut 1 Green 4 1/2” x 4 1/2”
Cut 1 White 2 7/8” x 2 7/8”
Cut this triangle corner to corner and sew to green base

Floating Squares quilt pattern throw – 34″ x 34″ Over the next few days I will be share this pattern, Floating Squares a quilt pattern, stop back in every couple of days
Block ONE – You will make 8 of this block
The Quilt Ladies Floating Squares Quilt
Cutting for 8 Blocks
Cut 32 Scrap Colors – 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Cut 16 Burgundy – 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Cut 8 Burgundy – 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Sew 1 Burgundy – 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
on 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Use 1/4″ Seam Allowance
Press to Burgundy
Add another 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ to side, sew
and again Press to Burgundy
Do 2 of this unit for each block
Add 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Sew and
Press to Burgundy
Sew second unit to bottom and press to Burgundy
You will have 8 of these blocks
