Over the past few days we have made a table topper using this my Star Holiday Quilt Pattern Block. Today I have be showing you to make this quilt block into a quilt.

This Quilt started with a simple Bear Paw quilt block and then drawing and drawing sixteen quilt blocks that took that simple block and made all sixteen mine. The quilt as always going to have white background, I love quilt lines on white fabric, pink of course that’s me, adding color with greens, red, in both solids and prints. The outside border is pieced with green square and triangle leaves.
Have you ever made a quilt and as each quilt block is finished you giggle at what you just did? This is how I felt as this quilt was going together, into a finished eighty-eight by eighty-four-inch quilt. Kind of Perfect.
That’s my B. Annie quilt all about ME! Should say that more, one of my faults? Maybe it’s just taking care of so many.
The Ladies Quilt Pattern started early on in my quilt designing. I love sampler quilts, I draw and draw quilt blocks. Some are the classic ones and some are the ones I designed and like.
When I was designing and planning this quilt, I was home day after day. I would spend entire days piecing quilt blocks. Kind of my heaven and there are 68 quilt blocks in this quilt book/pattern. Husband worked twelve-hour days, six days a week. And I seemed to be able to be content and happy in my world of quilt blocks. The thing that took The Ladies to the next level was the trip to the fabric shop. I was always hoping to own a shop,(dream) any way, I knew the blue fabric was right when I saw it. Purchasing fabric is kind of a sport to me and I do it ALL the time. Knowing the blue was going to be the base and pop color of the quilt I purchased about 5 yards. Way more than would be needed. But…more is more. The additional colors, pink, green and the blue pattern were from my scrap closet that I had on hand. With this quilt I figured out each blocks colors as I pieced it, but not each quilt block as it would be put together into the quilt. And/or what quilt block would be placed next to each other. Square Perfect a Quilt Pattern in Red, White and Blue, but only if you want it to be, you can use any three colors It’s a holiday of colors no matter what colors.

I have one Grandson who is just his own person (from birth), has his own ideas and his VERY own way of doing everything. I love Charm Packs, they are all cut and ready to GO. I seem to pick-up the 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ a lot more than the larger sets. It’s the more is better way my mind works.
When the row is done, I press and I hand cut with scissors. I’m lazy and don’t want to get up and walk the 3 steps to my cutting board…. You do as you like !
