I have one Grandson who is just his own person (from birth), has his own ideas and his VERY own way of doing everything. Few days ago I started a quilt block, which I named, Star Around a Quilt Block Pattern, it probably has hundreds of names, but this is the one for me. Here is all cutting and Part ONE
From Part ONE to sew 2 1/2″ x 8 1/2″
white to top and bottom of the star quilt block center.
Take 2 – 2 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ white, add triangles to the sides
Sew as shown to each side How to make Triangles
Sew 2 Rows – Top and bottom
2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ white, 1 triangle, 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″,
1 triangle, 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ white Sew as shown, add to the top and bottom

1 – 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ color, 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ white, 1 triangle, 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″,

When you take down time doing what is special to you, you figure out pretty quick just how wonderful life is. The craziness of life can become too much sometimes, but my moments in my little sewing room….PERFECT. So, my perfect today is an eight by eight inch quilt block, all patterns of blue and white fabrics. I cut little 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ squares and played with their placement, have fun moving color around. Wednesday has become my sewing-office day. It’s a bit of a game changer for me and I love my day sewing. Here is a blue and white quilt block for you to make, it’s eight inches by eight inches when finished.
The quilt block made IS the block shown, changing the one corner block to white change the entire look of the quilt block.

Today is the last Star Holiday Quilt Block and it’s been a ride.
If you follow me you may have noticed, I have pulled back a bit on social media. Husband had a total knee replacement early in December and things have had to move to the side a bit. I have loved doing these quilt blocks for you.
