My Birthday was over this past weekend and thank you to all, I had a fantastic day/weekend ! So, much so I have posting one of my favorite all time posts and it’s quilt block is below too !
This quilt was a gift to my mother from her Great Grandmother. And then a Gift to me from My Mother. Making it my, GREAT-GREAT Grandmother’s Gift to ME ! Well…That’s how I like to look at it. I
never met her and my mom only remembered helping with the peddle sewing machine. I use this quilt and love sleeping under it. It does not go in the washer and now living here in Florida and not having a clothes line it does go it the dryer….Yes… it bothers me too, but…. the colors are still very bright.
As 2024 wraps up, it’s hard not to reflect on a year that felt like a marathon through the medical wing of life. Quilt Pattern for you to make below too!
While it wasn’t the year I imagined, but we powered through. Leaving this chapter behind feels fantastic, but mostly it’s a chance to breathe, heal, and look ahead. I took many notes of all the testing and process of Husbands 2/3 pancreas and spleen removal. I am working on putting it into book form or into handbook form, I hope to sale some and then again…it’s a bit of a surgery…and wish all going through health issues a hug of love.
So here’s to closing the door on a tough but transformative 2024. We have done the hard part, and now it’s time to embrace a new year filled with brighter days, fewer hospital visits, and a whole lot more joy. Cheers to resilience, healing, and the hopeful possibilities of what’s ahead!
Each year I try to work into my daily life a word, and this year it’s HAPPY. Happy to laugh, happy to quilt, happy to have health and just happy to just be. Join me in Happiness. And the best happiness? A Quilt Ladies quilt block !
Hope you are having a wonderful Holiday. I want to share this classic quilt pattern with you, a Friendship Star, this quilt block pas a finished size of six inches by sis inches. Closing Facebook Page, BUT Still HERE on MY Site !
I am staying around, but making a change! After my Facebook page was hacked, I have decided to close my Facebook account to focus on a more secure way to stay connected with you. Here at BethAnnDoing.com
I will be closing my Facebook page (or; they did it for me) as part of a new direction in letting go of what I cannot change.
This recent hack has made me understand that I need to slim things down, change back to what I like doing. I love sharing my quilts, quilt patterns, painting my pictures, photographing flowers and day to day with you all, not monitor others words, and opinions.
You can still find me and stay updated through HERE at Bethanndoing.com I am excited to continue sharing and engaging with you. I may continue with Instagram but only time will tell and only if I can link it back to BethAnnDoing.com. Remember, no staff, no helpers, just me !
I have also removed ad’s from other sources besides mine, meaning a link to amazon is to my book, no google or any other ads, so purchase a quilt pattern! My Etsy ShopMy Books
Please take a moment and sign up for an email when I have a new post here at BethAnnDoing.com. Top right on this page
