I love seeing things different and today was the day of different. This site went down and I have been dealing with chat’s, phone calls and google how to’s ! It’s up and working! Learned a few bits today !
Start looking at everything even quilts a bit different, also, someone else’s point of view, kindness of a mask, kindness of 6 feet, or just listen and NOT speak.

Old Ladies Rock
A Story
Today is Tell a Story Day ! and it’s Monday and I’m moving over from The Quilt Ladies Site: a classic from 6-29-2009.
Yes, I have been doing this for WAY too long, that too has been a discussion going on for a bit….but for another day. Here is
Book Eight of The Quilt Ladies Collection
Quilt Patterns and Stories
The writing of book 8 was so much fun for me. I planned a wedding and did not answer, ask or tell anyone, why or what I wanted. From the simpleness of the day, to the family and friends. It is what I hope my day was about, many years ago. Back then I sold individual copies of each story and quilt pattern. But things they have changed, the complete collection is available only on kindle. The book is over 400 pages long, 15 complete quilt patterns, and 12 quilt stories.

on Kindle and Nook
The Quilt Ladies NOW ONLY Available !
The Quilt Ladies Book Collection ONLY on Kindle and NOOK
At the time of book 8’s writing, we lived in Windom, Minnesota. A VERY long way from home and I had some long days and even longer nights. Son #2 was in high school, working, sports and always busy, Husband had his first retail store and worked 24/7.
And I wrote, The wedding was on….. I wrote, ate and dreamed of nothing but a wedding, for months and months. Then came the quilt. It was overwhelming, everything I’ve always wanted in a quilt. This one was designed and made for me, no one else, just ME!
There are 12 blocks, machine pieced and hand appliqued with
vines and leaves.

Making it Better
With an OLD Quilt
Funny thing is…it WORKS !
Since my knee surgery on February 17th I have been home. And, after being home just a few days, I needed more love and understanding than I could muster up for myself or in myself, so at 2:30am I was pulling quilts out of a closet to sleep in a chair with. WHY, hadn’t I thought of it earlier??? AND, it worked !
It was Husband’s old fish pattern quilt, which I made YEARS ago. The cottons so soft from all the washing it’s almost like silk, with it’s raggy binding and just the right amount of love, I made to through some very LONG nights. Together me and a fish quilt. I know this pattern is on the quilt ladies, I will find it…….?? and post soon !
