B. Annie Quilt Pattern Book

A Quilt Ladies Quilt Pattern Book

Every Quilt Has a Story
B. Annie Quilt Pattern is all about ME! I don’t say that a lot.

B. Annie Quilt Pattern BookB. Annie at the Etsy Shop
B. Annie in Print and eBook

This Quilt started with a simple Bear Paw quilt block and then drawing and drawing sixteen quilt blocks that took that simple block and made all sixteen mine. The quilt as always going to have white background, I love quilt lines on white fabric, pink of course that’s me, adding color with greens, red, in both solids and prints. The outside border is pieced with green square and triangle leaves.
Have you ever made a quilt and as each quilt block is finished you giggle at what you just did? This is how I felt as this quilt was going together, into a finished eighty-eight by eighty-four-inch quilt. Kind of Perfect.
That’s my B. Annie quilt all about ME!  Should say that more, one of my faults? Maybe it’s just taking care of so many.

But this quilt is ME and MINE! B. Annie  Quilt

Mending an Old Quilt – How to do It

Making a Quilt A Bit Better

This is a post from about four years ago, how I mend quilts. Mending a quilt is not hard, it does take a bit of time from finding the right fabric to the hand work.
At this time of the year quilts seem to go from family member to family member and please don’t over look taking a quilt, bindings can be replaced (will share soon) and patches made. Here is my applique to mend an old quilt tutorial.
I’m always on the look out for old quilts and IF I think I can save them I purchase. They have to be washable and usable, nothing better, no matter the temperature is a quilt to cuddle in.
This is a recent purchase !

How to fix and old quilt by hand stitching it

There are 3 blocks that needed attention,
I ALWAYS wash quilts before I mend, this one turned out
VERY nice, they usually do !

Simple Log Cabin Quilt Pattern

Make a Simple Quilt Block

There are only 2 quilt blocks to this quilt and

what makes it look like many more is the fabric.  Machine pieced and I hand quilted with large stitches. You will need a total of 20 quilt blocks to make this quilt as shown.

I didn’t over think fabric, if it was a paisley, it was in and if it was a plaid, it was in, everything was from my closet. not thinking about ANY placement. Cut square and let the piecing go as it may ! Finished block size 6″ x 6″  Here is how I sew squares.
